The BCER's Indigenous Education Program is a partnership with several post-secondary institutions across the Province to provide scholarships and training programs for Indigenous peoples.
The goal of this program is to provide Indigenous people with tangible skills that can benefit them and their communities and promote Indigenous Nations and peoples’ participation in the BCER's operations beyond the consultation process. This is just one of the many steps being taken towards a more holistic Indigenous presence throughout the oil and gas regulatory cycle.
Awards
Through the Indigenous Education Program, annual funding is available for awards at seven institutions across B.C. To date, over 78 students have received funding across 21 B.C. communities.
Please reach out directly to the Awards Office at each institution for more information.
Training
