As part of B.C.’s efforts to achieve equivalency with federal methane emission reduction regulations, the BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) has introduced a new Public Request for Investigation Form.

As part of B.C.’s efforts to achieve equivalency with federal methane emission reduction regulations, the BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) has introduced a new Public Request for Investigation Form. The application form is available on the Reducing Methane Emissions page of the Regulator’s website.

The form supports recent amendments to Part 5, Division 3.1, Public Requests for Investigation under the Oil and Gas Activities Act, the new Investigations Regulation, and enhances the Regulator’s existing regulatory framework governing methane emissions.
