DATE ISSUED: June 25, 2019

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 18, 2019

The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) launched an online application process for corporate name changes in eSubmission as part of a multi-phase program to digitize applications on Nov. 5, 2018. The second phase of this project will commence on July 18, 2019, when corporate amalgamations will be submitted through eSubmission and a Corporate Structure Change Application form will no longer be required. The Regulator’s Permit Operations and Administration manual will be updated in August 2019 to reflect these changes.

In order to ensure applications are handled in a timely manner, all corporate amalgamations must be submitted to the Regulator by July 2, 2019 using the current method. Starting July 18, 2019, the Regulator will begin accepting corporate amalgamation applications in eSubmission.

In order to access this module in eSubmission the user will need to have the asset transfer administration security role in Kermit. The role is added by the permit holder’s company administrator.
