DATE ISSUED: Jan. 25, 2022
EFFECTIVE DATE: Feb. 25, 2022
On Feb. 25, 2022, the BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) will be launching a new portal for managing industry compliance called the Compliance Management Information System (CM-IS). As noted in Industry Bulletin 2021-29, permit holders can expect to see changes to how they receive administrative non-compliance notices (also known as “administrative deficiencies”) from the Regulator.
In preparation for the release of CM-IS, permit holders should update user security roles in Online Systems. To receive notifications and log into CM-IS to respond to non-compliance notices, users will need to have the “Admin Deficiency Representative” role. This role is assigned by the permit holder’s Company Administrator. Refer to the Regulator website for more information on managing security roles for Online Systems.
An online training session will be held on Feb. 8, 2022, and a recording of the session will be made available on the Regulator website. You may register by sending an email to CMSFeedback@bcogc.ca. Please note, only those who work with administrative non-compliance issues need to attend since inspection-related non-compliance notices are not affected by this release.
Additional information, including a user guide, will be posted to the Regulator website prior to release.
