The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) is changing the submission process for Packer Isolation Test (PIT) Reports.
DATE ISSUED: July 13, 2020
EFFECTIVE DATE: July 27, 2020
The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) is changing the submission process for Packer Isolation Test (PIT) Reports. As of July 27, 2020, all PIT reports must be completed and submitted using the electronic form in eSubmission. After this date, PIT reports submitted to welldatamail@bcogc.ca will no longer be accepted.
A well permit holder must ensure all tools and equipment are operated properly, and must conduct annual packer isolation tests and submit the test results, as per sections 16(3) and 39(6) of the Drilling and Production Regulation. Guidance for submitting PIT reports can be found in the updated eSubmission User Guide.
Users submitting PIT reports in eSubmission must have the “DRILL COMP PROD REP” or “DCP Admin” security role. Please refer to the eSubmission Reference Guide for more information about creating accounts, obtaining security roles, and Company Administration.
A printable version of the Regulator’s PIT form, identifying all information required in eSubmission, is available. This form is provided for reference only; scanned copies of the form will not meet submission requirements.
Section 9.1.3 of the Oil and Gas Activity Operations Manual will be updated to reflect these changes.
