Firms conducting engineering or geoscience work must follow requirements established by Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), the governing and regulating body of these professions.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), the governing and regulating body of these professions, has established requirements for firms conducting engineering or geoscience work.

All submissions made to the Regulator containing engineering or geoscience work related to the practice of professional engineering or professional geoscience, must follow the Professional Governance Act, [SBC 2018], c. 47 and the Bylaws of Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. This includes any requirements related to the authentication of documents such as the application of the firm’s permit to practice number.

Submissions containing engineering or geoscience work that do not meet the EGBC requirements will not be accepted.
