The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) releases regular updates to the Application Management System (AMS) to improve workflow and functionality.
Changes for this release will be effective March 9, 2021 at 9 p.m. MST and include:
Quick Link Button
- Links have been added to the ‘Quick Link’ button on the Navigation Panel allowing applicants quick access to additional resources, such as, application documentation and guidance, and the Regulator’s regulatory framework.
Administration Tab
- A Registered Forest Professional has been added to the drop down options as a contact type.
Mapping Requirements
- Mapping requirements have been streamlined for technical amendments.
- The requirement to provide a 1:50,000 map has been removed.
Pipeline Applications
- The requirement for a leak detection document has been streamlined; the document will only be mandatory for specified pipeline product types.
Changes in and about a Stream Application
- A new question has been added to the Changes in and about a Stream application for notification under s.39 of the Water Sustainability Regulation as per INDB 2021-06.
An AMS March 2021 Release Guide that further explains these changes, will be available by March 9, 2021 on the Regulator’s website. In addition, updates to the Oil and Gas Activity Application Manual will reflect the changes found in this release in the near future.
