EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) is lifting the water use suspension for the North and South Thompson Basins, with the exception of Lemieux and Fishtrap creeks, effective as of Oct. 18, 2021. The water use suspension is also being lifted for Stump Lake in the Nicola Basin. River, stream, and lake conditions have recovered to near average levels for this time of year.

The water use suspension is still in effect for the Nicola (with exception of Stump lake), and Coldwater Basins, as per the Directive sent out by the Regulator on Aug. 12, 2021.
